Vacation notes

Right now I am on vacation in South Carolina while Jack works here for a couple of weeks. Yes, we are retired so why is he working and how can I have a vacation? He has a gig and I am using the leisure time away from home to catch up on some writing projects, sending letters and emails to friends and just reading.
